When I was fourteen, I enrolled in a gym. There, I met Nikos, a semi-professional bodybuilder. He was a big guy, proud of his muscles... or at least I thought he was. After a few days, he approached me and said:
“Get out while you still can. I’ve been in this for too long. It’s become an addiction. I feel my muscles getting harder every day… But so does my mind, my heart, my soul... I feel them going rigid, going numb. Soon, I’ll be nothing but stone. This is not good. Think... The baby is vulnerable, but filled with life. A corpse is hard, but empty and dead. Reflect on these words.”
