The Claustrophobic Mouse

Some of my friends, especially Lukas, have this certain feeling that is probably best described by Franz Kafka's A Little Fable:

"Alas," said the mouse, "the whole world is growing smaller every day. At the beginning it was so big that I was afraid, I kept running and running, and I was glad when I saw walls far away to the right and left, but these long walls have narrowed so quickly that I am in the last chamber already, and there in the corner stands the trap that I must run into."
"You only need to change your direction," said the cat, and ate it up.

Just because he smokes paranoid inducing narcotics by the ton doesn't mean they aren't setting up the mouse trap.

  1. I didn't know A Little Fable despite having read Kafka's bigger works. There's always a sense of doom in his works. I think your illustration captures that really well.

Base - thanks. technology has brought us closer, but the uneven distribution of resources is 'trapping' us.
