The Internal Beauty Queen

Afsar has always seen herself as an ugly girl. No matter how hard her parents and friends tried to convince her of her beauty, she would always mumble something about God cursing her with a stupid face, a gross body, and the soul of an idiot.
One day, Afsar woke up in a seedy hotel bathtub filled with ice. Frightened, she understood just how right everybody really was; she is beautiful… at least, internally. The organ snatchers, who stole her kidneys, had finally showed Afsar the truth about beauty's many sides. Fortunately, she woke up once again, and realized it had only been a bad dream. The lesson, however, still weighs on her like a crown.

  4. There is nothing quite like a healthy adrenal gland to wake you up in the morning. Whether it be your own or someone elses.

  5. This just made me see a whole new side of beauty. The artwork is so great, I can really feel the Afsar's despair.

  7. Basil - thanks. there are so many lessons to learn and so little time.

Elizabeth - good health really is the winner in any beauty pageant.

Dr. Theda - a warm welcome goes out to you too.

Jorg - ha! especially when it's somebody else's. those are the best wake up calls of all.

Melissa - we usually say how someone is beautiful on the outside and on the inside, but beauty has more layers than that.

Nuki - thanks. she was indeed very relieved of waking up.

  9. Many women think this way ...
They are just not appreciated by their men or they aren-t self-confident, true story ...

  10. David - a sad truth, but even those can change if all the right elements are in place. unfortunately they never seem to be.

Judka - all women are beautiful, especially the ones i know. they just need to be reminded sometimes.
