The Anger Sprayer

No, this isn't acid rain. This is just Huan's bile spewing from his mouth. It burns doesn't it? Huan has always been a good friend, but lately he gets angry about everything. It’s either over something political or something to do with TV celebrities or even about the music younger kids listen to. In a way, he’s right to get upset over some of these things, but cursing his tongue off and dragging others under his pointless cloud of rage is no way to deal with life.  No matter how much we try to convince him to accept the things he can’t change or to look towards the more positive stuff in life, he just doesn't listen. He doesn't even converse anymore, he just rants. Maybe the rage works like a cocoon protecting him from pains I don't know about. Whatever the real reason may be, it's exhausting to be around him. Huan is becoming an angry acid spraying monster and I’m running out of umbrellas.

  1. I can't stand people like this. I know the world isn't paradise, but what does being constantly angry achieve? Nothing but more aggravation.

  2. What Elizabeth said :)

Got a person like this in my life too (not by choice).
It's ridiculous how easily anger rubs off and spoils your own mood.
Just think happy thoughts and ignore...

  3. Elizabeth - the world certainly isn't an utopia and celebrities make way more money than they deserve, but i agree this kind of anger achieves nothing.

Laury - i try, but its hard to ignore when he's been such a good friend. sorry to hear you're stuck with someone like this.

I agree with everything. I also don't like when someone is constantly depressed, has the same effect on you. Anyway, can you clear me up the idea of your blog. Are you describing the life around you through fictional characters? It sounds nice.

  5. Well, it's my little sister so I get ya about finding it hard to ignore.
I just go off into my own little world as I've noticed most of the anger outbursts thrive on attention.
    Eventually they shut up...

  6. L&A - constantly depressed people can be a total drag, as well.
there's an about page on the left side, but yeah, its basically about the people i meet. it's also about the human experience, wisdom, the meaning of life...
    thanks and welcome.

Laury - hahaha! yeah, when they realize they're ranting all by themselves, they tend to shut up.

  7. Yeah, people whose mood always tend to one direction are pretty hard to be around with.

Other than the ranting guy in this example, there are other examples of this category of people, too. The depressed ones were mentioned before and I know people who always want to have fun ALL the time. Unfortunately if you had a lousy day they aren't there for you because it is a serious matter that isn't amsing enough for them. Those people I can't stand and I'm not considering them as friends anymore.

  8. beside the constantly depressed, there are also the hypochondriacs who are always telling you how sick they are. (future posts maybe.)

those opposite cases are true, too. i know many people who can't spend some time talking seriously with a friend who's feeling down. they just want everything to be fun. moderation is essential in most things. i don't think they're your friends either.

  9. I'm not defending your friend but there are many reasons to be angry. The world economy is in trouble due to greedy assholes and the law does nothing to punish them.

  10. I had to deal with a Judge like that (Very "UN-professional")Spittle flying from his mouth as he ranted at me.... I was not even allowed to speak in my own defense....
He was a Good Friend of the A**Hole with a badge who got me in this mess ( The incident occurred in my youth well over 20 past)....
I have paperwork that shows "Purgery" ( a felony) on his part...
and the "court-appointed" Lawyer threatened me with prison if I so much as spoke up against the officer's statement... the officer did not think that I could pay the fines and expected me to go to prison... When he found out that I had paid it... he had the local cops "step up" their senseless harassment of me ....
The whole situation is finally behind me ... but the experience has totally destroyed my nervous system for the remainder of my life...

  11. Nietzsche - i totally agree that the world has seen better days, but problems are solved with a cool head. anger is rarely a viable solution.

Octapolis - anger can lead to evil.

Dr. Theda - yikes! and i thought i had it bad. there's nothing worse than dealing with frustrated and angry people, especially in law enforcement. glad its all behind you.

The expression on his face was really well done. You can feel the rage bursting out. Great work! ^.^

  14. "Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured." - Mark Twain

You should say this to your friend, it's the damned truth. Believe me, I know.

  16. I find myself getting angry more these days as well. I try not spray anyone with it, only random passers-by.
