The Loved Nerd

I used to like stereotypes when I was a kid because they made the world simpler. As I grew up, I realized how boring and wrong stereotypes really were. Occasionally though, I find someone who fits a profile. While chatting with him online, I found out that Kirk is a second generation nerd. His parents were big time Trekies back in the day, but his greatest passions lie within comic books. He loves eating chips and working at home allows hims to spend the whole day without pants. Kirk also admitted to me that he had more computers then friends. This doesn't bother him though, he claims the computers give him all the love he needs. Kirk also said that he sort of has an online girlfriend. "Sort of..."
It's great to be loved.

  1. I'm a nerd myself and there were times in my life I only had my computer, too. But when I compare it to how my life is now I would say it is much better today. People often say they are happy with the way their life is, because it would be to sad to admit that they sometimes cry because of loneliness. They obey to the hard times and make the best of it to survive, that is a good skill. But some mistake that skill and period of overcoming a bad situation with living a happy life... Just my opinion out of my own experiences.

  4. Kat - a very insightful opinion. there are many interesting things to do alone, but moderation like most things in life is paramount.

Nuki - haha i still like that film today.

Catharina - you're very right. personally, i think change brings more good than bad, especially when you're young. isolation can make people weird.

  5. Hahaha! Those "sort of" girlfriends have their appeal, but its nothing like the real deal. Hope he finds this truth sooner rather than later.

  6. He has every right to live his life how ever he wants, but he should really break out of his shell before he's too old to appreciate the 'outside' world.

  8. So "isolation" has made me "weird"("er")... I spend whatever $$$ that i have on "toys" and "Monsters"...nearest place to buy comic books is about 40 miles away and my last time there was 2 and a half years past.... I miss buying "Joker" stories.....
as for Loneliness.... I have "personality fragmentation" issues... Thus I am never really "alone"... as for Friends... I have Few ... and seldom get to see them anymore

  12. i know what you mean... one learns not to trust sterotypes, and at one point starts meeting only stereotype-people. or something like that. i find it kind of funny!

  14. Dr. Theda - weird can be cool and being alone too, but we're physical beings. there are tons of cool stuff to do with other people.

Jessica - i feel like that too on occasion. however, i also know that there are so many things to learn from our interactions with others.

Octapolis - hehe sure, but unfortunately we can't have a beer with our blogger friends. that robot crap is fucking annoying.

David - sadly no. young kids today don't fully commit to all the rules of their respective stereotypes like they did in the old day ;) thanks.

ElfoMiope - haha that's true. reality tv shows have shown how stereotyped people can be. thanks.

Dr. Theda - maybe you should give her a taste of her own medicine and show her you have a few "opinions" yourself.

Sorry I will try to get back to posting regularly again soon... They Post unpleasant Comments about Stacey at "Topix" forum..... Well at least they are listing Us as the "Greatest Villain" of Marshville.... Right now it really "sucks" to have to live in this Small Town....

  16. We Did as you "suggested"... I made "response" posts... And added a "Twist" to it all ....If He Speaks "badly" of Stacey ...It will "reflect" "badly" upon his "character"... Do Not Fight Back With further "insults" thus the "Mud-Slinger" Look bad to others.. for his statements ... He does this often Stacey just happens to be his current "Target"... But he "stirred up "crap" for me in this little town.... and with Halloween coming up...this Mess ( Stacey being a main "Topic of Interest") Will only worsen....
On The "Up-Side" of things ... Stacey is now has the title of "Greatest Villain" of Marshville LOL ( MEL..."maniacal evil Laughter)
