Karl is in love with
the coldness. The glacial machinations of bionics and the icy logic of mathematical optimization are his true passions. Devoid of feelings of empathy, he has circuitry where his heart should be. He's always been this way, never caring for anyone, but himself and his calculations. Still, he decided to get a girlfriend... I guess having a mate will improve his chances of achieving his social status goals.
If this is what she wants, she has every right to change. Its a choice only she can make. Even though, I don't like him, I'm not trying to judge her. I'm just sad because she used to be so much fun, so full of life... Now, she barely talks to anyone. Her blood is getting cold as she becomes a mere bionic appendage for Karl. He's infecting her...
People easily "infect" others with their tastes, quirks, paranoias. Apathy comes easily, as well. Hope she discovers an anti-virus soon ;)
ReplyDeleteNice one... I like the patterns.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are in a relationship for some time your partner adapts some behaviour of you und you some of her/ him. It can be funny. like with me and my boyfriend... He always uses to say : " nice." when something surprising happens in a movie. Only this word again and again :-) And now I realised that I started doing that, too.
ReplyDeleteBut in this case here on the picture it is too sad that she didn't infect him with her joyful character but he did with his coldness...
I had the same problem... When someone U love is cold U start feel the same....
ReplyDeleteYou are next on my Featured Friend Friday post Gabriel. It was SO fun doing one for Kat and I can't wait to do one for you!
ReplyDeleteI would like permission to use one of your art works and text to use, not sure what one yet though.
Do you have a suggestion?
For all the exciting talk of the future, my main concern for humanity is a loss of heart, or the heart being replaced with circuitry.
ReplyDeleteJay - an anti-virus would be great, but i'm too distanced to be the delivery system.
ReplyDeleteLaury - thanks.
Kat - i guess he's stronger willed than her; wish it was the other way around.
we always influence each other. the hard part is to know what is positive and what is too much.
Judka - i hope you are warmer now.
ReplyDeleteDavid - sure, be my guest. its a really nice idea. use whichever one you hate the least.
Jorg - me too. you can see it happening already; easily influenced kids shrink their worlds into specific paths and goals becoming apathetic egomaniacs in the process.
great pic
ReplyDeleteIt sucks when we lose our friends to a boy or a girlfriend like this one. Maybe she'll change back 1 day. The circuitry is cool!

ReplyDeleteI've never delved into your old posts to tell the truth. My internet time is so limited as I explained on my first FFF post, my next Featured Friend Friday will be the Friday after next to do things right.
I had ideas but the kernel crashed, need reboot time, lol.
Riotbreather - thanks. i hope she changes back, as well. the girl deserves better.
ReplyDeleteDavid - i understand, time is such a scarce commodity nowadays. whenever you can is fine by me. although i am pretty psyched to see it.
Another great design... this is pure imagination! Congratulations ;)
ReplyDeleteI expected that from you ;)
Thank you so much Sandra.
ReplyDeleteSomething which we witness often and yet complicated. The thing to be observed is that, In most cases. the change happens only for partners. Wish, she takes some drug for the infection.
ReplyDeleteCool combination of elements in this one. I'm sure she'll wake up one day. Sadly she'll never get that time back.
ReplyDeleteBasil - me too.
ReplyDeleteNietzsche - thanks. that's true.
