The Kung fu Dancer

Despite his hardcore looks, Ginn is actually a nice guy. He's a gentle soul who loves music and never hurts anyone… intentionally. The thing about Ginn is that he loses it when he’s on the dance floor. In the darkness of a club, he lets the vibrating music take control of his body and he forgets that there are people around him. Kung fu classes and all the ketamin he swallows just makes things worse, but it’s hard to hate a guy who’s as polite as Ginn is. I once saw him break a girl’s nose. He didn't do it on purpose, it was an accident. Ginn immediately apologized and offered a round to the girl and her boyfriend, but apologies and free drinks don’t clean up the blood. So, as you can imagine, Ginn used to get into a lot of trouble because of his dancing skills. Lately, he's been much calmer; occasionally though, unknowing bystanders will still get their asses served by The Kung fu Dancer.

  1. Awkward prom shuffles are much more safer, indeed :P
Although this of course is a lot more fun to watch (from a distance).

  2. this other time i saw 'Ginn' try to jump onto the back of one of his buddies, but he lost his balance and fell back smacking a girl in the mouth with his head. her boyfriend was so drunk, he couldn't stop laughing as she bled from the mouth. she even started crying, but all he did was crack himself up laughing.
i can tell you, it was a contagious laugh :)

  3. I think he is just fooling everyone and performing the 'Drunken Dancing Monkey' martial arts on everyone. :)

David - haha! who knows. i've always found those martial art techniques pretty curious.

  5. I wonder what would happen if he danced to a remix of "Everybody loves Kung-fu fightting"?

If nothing else it would be fitting

  9. hehehheh... this brings back many memories of the moshpits me and freinds used to get into =)

an odd bunch of violently dancing people, who if we thought we'd really hurt someone would during the brief few seconds of calm between songs ending starting would apologise to people in various states of drunken-ness and bloodied lips/bruised eyes... usually just getting a random hug off the poor sod who just thought it was awesome.. that said I never complained about the odd similar injury, well maybe a little bit of complaining the day after =P

  10. yeah, nobody really cared about the injuries as long as everybody was having fun. i had some really good times in moshpits. 'Ginn' too, of course, but the guy will 'dance' like that even in upscale clubs.

  13. I quit going to dance clubs over ten years ago....
while there a large drunken "red-neck" began to harass me...After the second time that he did so.... I went and sat at the bar... there I ordered another beer and a shot of Everclear...
When he came up to me to further bother me ... I doused him with the liquor and offered him a light... he got pissed and stormed out of the place... I have Not been back..

  14. @ Dr. Theda, but wow, what an impression you must have made... "I have Not been back..." probably for the best though, eh. =)

  17. I went to a bar last night for the first time in almost ten years...
I had a great time ... even drank two "brain hemorrhage" mixed drinks.... ( very good... and a pleasant "after taste" was the best part.... I even tried to shoot a game of pool... ( first time in almost 15 years.... all in all I did actually have a good time .... and was even able to get a Fisher price "pie-throwing" joker figure... (about 5 inches tall) at least that part of my evening went rather well...

  18. Countess - thanks. yeah, the dance floor is where he's happiest.

Dr. Theda - 10 years? wow. those drinks sound awesome. really glad you had such a great time, Doc.

  21. As a hardcore vampire fan one sentence comes to my mind:

"Everything I love is doomed and will die"

That´s something a vampire often mourns about when he killed his beloved.

And in case of Ginn: He is enjoying his dance so much and afterwards he opens his eyes and everything and evcerybody died because of his LOVE for music *lol*.
