The Compassionately Impaired

"Just because he's in a wheelchair, doesn't mean he's not a fucking asshole. I don't want my brother to suffer any more pain then what he's already been through, I just wish I could chop off whatever is making him prey on people's sympathy and take advantage of their kindness. The little prick even laughs when he sees someone struggling and in pain. It's like he lost all his compassion when he lost his legs. Life fucked him up, I know that, but bitterness is no excuse to exploit and fuck people over."
The words of a friend of mine on his younger brother, Luther. Among Luther's many sins, there was the time when he made fun of a kid who's kitten had just died. Dead kittens are no laughing matter, I don't care who the fuck you are.

  1. Tragic (often crippling) accidents occur , unfortunately this can make some people very bitter and filled with rage and a hatred for those who are not "suffering".... thus causing them to be rude to others... but this guy is full of hatred and "self-loathing".... he needs therapy... And as bad off as your Friend is... (by what you have told us) ... he needs a Lot of therapy...

    1. i haven't spoken to them in a bunch of years.
therapy can be useful, but a good friend and a healthy diet is cheaper. (so's a punch to the throat.)

  4. It's that social categorisation thing were we identify people by their most visible trait. I said the same to my friend Ronny "Just because you're in a wheelchair doesn't mean you're not a dick." He agrees.

  5. true. it's also a lot more popular to show fake sympathy for someone's obvious condition than to really get to know the person.
